Job summary

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist II to evaluate and develop therapy plans of care for a broad range of diagnoses. The role includes education to patients and families, collaboration with the interprofessional care team, and serving as a clinical resource and preceptor to staff and students.

The PT II will contribute to quality metrics and best practices, while adhering to safety standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist or completion of HM residency.
• BLS certification and Texas PT licensure required; compact license acceptable per ECPTOTE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop therapy plan of care for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff and students.
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team to achieve patient-specific goals.
• Assist with quality metrics, analytics and process improvement initiatives.
