Tidelands Health is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist (Outpatient) to oversee the outpatient therapy clinic, direct service delivery, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and DHEC standards. You will lead staff, manage payroll and inventory, and coordinate physician marketing for rehabilitation services.

You will develop treatment plans, assess patients, and administer therapies to improve mobility, strength, and function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
  • SC licensure as Physical Therapist is required
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Review referrals and patient records to determine PT treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Administer therapies including manual techniques and modalities
  • Evaluate patient progress with standardized tests and adjust plans
  • Document progress in EMR and generate reports as needed
  • Lead staff orientations, training, and performance reviews
  • Maintain clinic operations, staffing, and budget adherence
  • Promote rehabilitation programs to referring physicians and providers

More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day.A Brief OverviewThe Senior Therapist is responsible for the oversight of the outpatient therapy clinic including the direction of the service delivery performed in accordance with the hospital and department policies and procedures. Key management responsibilities include, and are not limited to, new staff orientations, ensuring staff competencies, staff performance reviews, attending monthly manager meetings, maintaining employee files, payroll / attendance records, maintaining facility environment per Joint Commission and DHEC standards, clinic operations / staffing, clinic expenses / inventory, physician marketing / relationships, monthly chart audits, and performing required emergency drills. The senior therapist is also responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualification, professional practices, and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. Performs other duties as required. The employee will complete other duties as assigned.What you will doReview physician's referral (prescription), patient's condition, medical history, and submitted medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
