Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design robust PHP/Laravel backends and deliver modular systems for a hosted SaaS product. You will collaborate with product designers, customer success, and other engineers to implement scalable APIs and secure data flows.

You should have 5+ years in software development, strong OO and testing fundamentals, and familiarity with React, React Native, AWS Lambda or Firebase, and OAuth/JWT. Join us to drive performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a software development role with hosted web apps or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of OO programming, unit testing and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Database design, performance and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with PHP, Laravel and front-end HTML/React.
• Exposure to React Native, AWS Lambda or Firebase, OAuth/JWT.

Responsibilities

• Designing and Developing Robust Backend Services: Architect scalable, secure PHP/Laravel backends.
• Building Modular and Efficient Systems: Create maintainable front-end and back-end modules.
• Maintaining Real-Time Data Feeds and APIs: Ensure real-time data rendering and API reliability.
• Optimising Code and Implement Libraries: Reduce duplication, improve performance with libraries.
• Enhancing Software Performance: Apply advanced optimization techniques.
• Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with designers, success managers, and engineers.
• Engaging in Development Processes: Participate in design reviews and code analysis.
• Possess excellent skills in PHP/Laravel and HTML with exposure to React.
