Coherent Corp. in Fremont, California, is seeking a skilled engineer to install and optimize photolithography equipment in a semiconductor fab. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of wafer fab equipment engineering experience and strong troubleshooting skills.
You will work in a cleanroom environment, collaborating with process engineers to enhance tool performance and drive yield and uptime. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment and may involve engaging with vendors.
The world’s communications infrastructure depends on semiconductor lasers, particularly those based on indium phosphide technology. Indium phosphide lasers are engineered to emit at wavelengths optimal for long‑distance transmission through fiber optics, enabling the optical networks that form the global internet.
Fab work requires wearing personal protective equipment such as a bunny suit, face mask, gloves, and booties; PPE is mandatory when working on certain applications.
All employees must follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. corporate EHS standards.
Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and/or other applicable standards within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
