Health Advances in San Francisco seeks PhD-trained Senior Analysts to join our healthcare consulting team. You will synthesize research into actionable insights, evaluate opportunities, and model financials to support client decisions.

No prior consulting experience is required as we provide training and mentorship; you will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and limited travel, developing both scientific and business acumen.

Qualifications

• PhD in the life sciences.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.
• A sincere interest in learning about the business of healthcare in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
• An ability to prioritize and focus time effectively to meet multiple client-driven objectives.
• Must live in the Boston area and work in the Newton office ~3 days a week.
• Must be able to travel to the Boston area for at least one week of training.

Responsibilities

• Synthesizing research findings into persuasive actionable insights that allow clients to achieve their business objectives.
• Conducting technical, clinical, and market assessments to evaluate opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics across healthcare markets.
• Performing in-depth qualitative and quantitative research with researchers, clinicians, patients/consumers, and industry experts.
• Executing quantitative analyses including learning to build forecasts and financial models to support clients’ decision-making.
• Collaborating with team leaders to select appropriate analytical approaches.
• Developing and presenting analyses and recommendations to client teams and senior leadership.
