Job summary
Vivid Technology is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to design and validate Ku/Ka-band phased array antennas for SatCom terminals. You will drive antenna architecture, perform electromagnetic simulations, and lead prototype-to-production efforts across RF, electrical, mechanical, and software teams.
Minimum 5+ years in antenna/RF design, hands-on HFSS/CST experience, and a strong understanding of RF systems are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with strong RF/antenna experience.
- 5+ years designing antenna systems, phased arrays, or microwave/RF products.
- Strong understanding of antenna theory and RF system design principles.
- Hands‑on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS or CST.
- Experience with RF hardware testing and antenna characterization.
- Experience in SatCom terminals is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop Ku/Ka-band RF and antenna systems for SatCom terminals.
- Design and optimize phased array apertures including beamforming networks.
- Perform full-wave electromagnetic simulations to evaluate performance.
- Lead prototype development and transition concepts to production.
- Develop RF test plans and validate antenna performance.
- Configure RF measurement systems including VNAs and spectrum analyzers.
- Analyze key performance metrics: EIRP, G/T, beam steering, gain, efficiency.
- Produce engineering documentation and collaborate across teams.
- Support production ramp-up and continuous product improvements.
