The technician role requires a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician and Kentucky registration within 30 days of hire, with URAC standards guiding daily operations and shipping. A recruitment bonus is available.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy technician certification and state registration requirements.
  • Knowledge of URAC standards (PHARMCore, Patient Management, Operations).
  • Experience in hospital/retail pharmacy or healthcare customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations.
  • Enroll patients in financial support programs and coordinate first-time dispenses and refills.
  • Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping requirements and cold chain handling.
  • Support inventory processes: unpack deliveries, stock medications, perform counts and expiration checks.
  • Maintain proper storage, security of inventory, and URAC compliance.
