Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician III at MUHA assists a registered pharmacist with dispensing medical prescriptions, collecting and verifying patient data, and stocking supplies. You may prepare labels and routine prepacked orders and perform light clerical duties in the department.

Minimum training requires a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience. Current SCBOP registration and PTCB certification are required; 2+ years in pharmacy tech roles and sterile compounding are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the SC Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) and national certification by the PTCB is required.
• Experience in pharmacy operations and sterile compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist a registered pharmacist with dispensing processes.
• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information.
• Receive and stock incoming supplies; may prepare labels and routine prepacked orders.
• May perform clerical duties in the department.
