Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate medication services and outstanding customer care at our Houston store.

You will assist pharmacists under supervision, process prescriptions, manage inventory, and engage customers to resolve questions while complying with policy and quality standards. Strong English communication and flexible scheduling are required.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision by the pharmacist, staff pharmacist and store manager.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems, ensuring information is entered correctly.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct.
• Check for possible interactions and assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Lead inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate with medical staff and providers to support clinical services and outreach.
