    Senior Pharmacy Technician (Clinical Services - MTM) - Call Center / Remote

    The Senior MTM Process and Procedure technician will work on normal MTM technician duties as well as the process of creating, maintaining and streamlining desktops.

    Position Purpose: Supports the efforts of the clinical team through collaboration with prescribers and targeted beneficiaries in order to ensure appropriate, evidence-based drug selection and resolve medication-related problems. In addition, provides senior level SME support to other team members such as training and questions from technicians, and assists with ensuring daily department duties are achieved.Oversees the pharmacy technicians and ensures smooth and efficient workflow, quick turn around and ensures staff is properly trained.

    Trains and evaluates staff, promotes teamwork and staff motivation, designs systems to ensure efficient systems and that department policies and procedures are followed.

    Coordinates functions with other departments to ensure excellent customer service.

    Participates in establishment of goals and objectives to meet the strategic goals

    Answers questions from customer service, members, pharmacies, providers, etc. on member benefits and drug coverage.

    Assists providers in obtaining their prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner.

    Assist with escalated member, physician and pharmacy calls.

    Assists the pharmacy department team members complete all duties and tasks requested by the Director.

    In addition to the duties outlined above, this is a working Lead position whereby the individual will carry an assigned workload.

    Carries out all duties and responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

    Other duties as assigned

    Candidate Education: High School or GED. 2+ years of experience in pharmacy operations managed care, hospitals, and/or retail environments. 1+ year of experience in managed care pharmacy.

    Licenses and Certifications: Preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

    Job specific details:

    • Experience with call center and/or heavy call volume and MTM highly preferred

    • 2 years pharmacy experience required. To be considered you must have 1+ year of experience in managed care pharmacy.

    • Technician duties includetelephonic outreach to our members to complete medication reviews.
