Job summary

PharMerica is hiring for a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our non-retail, closed-door environment serving long-term care and senior living clients. You will oversee Pharmacy Technicians, schedule staffing, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining high accuracy in dispensing and medication preparation.

We operate Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–8:30pm, with a comprehensive benefits package including DailyPay, health/dental/vision insurance, 401k, tuition assistance, and paid time

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting is required.
• Basic understanding of drugs, terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.
• Desired: workflow management, scheduling, and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitors workflow and reassigns Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
• Prepares Pharmacy Technician schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Fills prescription items and packages medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, including non-sterile compounding.
• Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room and with automated packaging machines as needed.
• Manages inventory and identifies expired meds, monitors Days on Hand.
• Enters patient data and medication orders into computer systems for labeling.
• Mixes/packages IV meds and maintains IV room and equipment.
• Supports facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
• Communicates with internal and external customers professionally.
• Ensures technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
