Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a pricing & underwriting professional to drive profitable growth in a complex pharmacy portfolio. You will craft data-driven pricing, lead negotiations, and partner with Sales to win and retain business.

Leveraging SQL, analytics, and market intelligence, you will shape pricing decisions, product positioning, and underwriting practices to deliver value for customers and the business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Pharmacy Underwriting or related fields.
• Experience working with large datasets and applying data-driven insights to business decisions.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions with a strong understanding of internal and external financial implications.
• Experience using SQL, reporting tools, or other analytical platforms to support pricing and underwriting decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, competitive conditions, and pricing drivers.

Responsibilities

• Manages an assigned book of pharmacy business with accountability for profitable growth, persistency, and earnings performance.
• Conducts case-specific risk assessments and develops account-level pricing strategies.
• Leads rate development and customer negotiations in collaboration with Sales for complex pharmacy accounts.
• Develops, executes, and monitors account plans to drive growth and profitability.
• Analyses market trends and competitive dynamics to deliver strategic recommendations on pricing and product positioning.
• Influences underwriting best practices and provides consultative input to matrix partners on product development and pricing strategy.
