Job summary

Albany Med is seeking an Associate Pharmacy Director of Operations-PCSD to oversee the Department of Pharmacy and the medication-use processes hospital-wide. You will work with the Pharmacy Director and clinical leadership to promote comprehensive pharmaceutical care and optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in health-system pharmacy, budgeting, and driving innovative care services.

Qualifications

B.S. or Pharm.D. from ACPE-accredited school.
Current NYS Pharmacy License.
Minimum 5 years of health system pharmacy practice experience.
Experience in health system pharmacy management preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Co-manage the Department of Pharmacy in coordination with the Pharmacy Director and Associate Director of Clinical Services.
Oversee day-to- day operations of the Department of Pharmacy with Pharmacy supervisors.
Oversee recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff; manage HR for the department.
Promote optimal pharmaceutical care across AMC and lead medication-use programs.
Lead implementation of technologies related to medication use.
Serve as a key link between pharmacy and other departments to optimize patient outcomes.
