Job summary
TOWER Pharmacy & Medication Management seeks a senior Pharmacy Informaticist to lead informatics initiatives, owning Cerner PharmNet design, Pyxis MedStation integration, and BCMA workflow governance. The role collaborates with RN informatics for closed-loop medication administration and oversees safety-critical medication processes 24/7.
Ideal candidate has 8+ years in pharmacy and informatics, with 5+ years as a pharmacist and 3+ years in informatics, plus experience with Cerner PharmNet,
Qualifications
- 8+ years total experience in pharmacy and informatics.
- Experience with Cerner PharmNet, Pyxis MedStation, BCMA workflow.
- Awareness of USP 797/800 from an informatics perspective.
Responsibilities
- Own Cerner PharmNet design, configuration, and workflow optimization.
- Maintain patient-safety escalation authority for medication-related Sev-1 events.
- Govern BD Pyxis MedStation administration and PharmNet integration with vendor coordination.
- Design and govern BCMA workflow and safety controls with RN informaticist.
- Govern formulary management, drug interactions logic, and Multum updates.
- Oversee sterile compounding workflow and IV room software interfaces.
- Design insulin dosing protocol integration where applicable.
