Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Pharmacy Technician License (PT), CPhT, or professional license (LPN, Medical Assistant, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience in medical intake, pharmacy authorization, or healthcare office settings.
• Experience with specialty/IV pharmacy, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, EMR systems, and insurance portals.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex authorization requests and denials; prepare appeals and follow up with payers.
• Initiate and manage prior authorization requests for pharmacy services.
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate with referral sources, providers, and internal teams.
• Other duties as assigned
