Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Scientist IV Pharmacology Contractor to design, execute, and interpret preclinical pharmacology studies across in vitro and in vivo models, PK/PD, and biomarker analyses to advance anti-infective candidates.

Collaborating with microbiology, medicinal chemistry, and clinical development, you will contribute to study design, data interpretation, and regulatory‑supporting documentation while mentoring junior scientists.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with 5+ years in industry.
• Experience in preclinical pharmacology and PK/PD.
• Ability to coordinate with CROs and cross-functional teams.
• Strong data analysis and scientific writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo pharmacology studies.
• Analyze pharmacology, PK/PD, toxicology data to guide decision-making.
• Contribute to study design for PK/PD and efficacy models.
• Prepare protocols, reports, and regulatory‑supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with CROs and internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior scientists and communicate findings to stakeholders.
