Job summary

FreseniusKabi in Wilson, NC seeks a seasoned engineer to drive the implementation of projects around the Freeflex bag technology for intravenous fluids. You will oversee installations, coordinate suppliers and budgeting, and lead site-level improvements in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields as listed, with 5+ years of experience in validated manufacturing of terminal sterilized pharmaceutical PVC free bags in a cGMP environment.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing of terminal sterilized pharmaceuticals inside polypropylene bags, PVC free IV bag material technology and manufacturing process.
• Experience qualifying processes, equipment, and systems, including terminal sterilization and product integrity assurance.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams to implement, train and operate PVC free IV bag material technology and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise installation of equipment and facility modifications, including selecting suppliers, procuring equipment and services, scheduling, set-up, start-up, troubleshooting and budgeting.
• Develop and manage site projects using research, design and sketches, layouts, drawings, supplier interaction and specifications with site personnel.
• Analyze production sequences and process issues to improve product quality and yield, and implement corrective actions.
• Promote and support process improvements and participate in risk assessments and validation activities.
• Maintain interfaces with QA, QC and Engineering Services to ensure equipment availability and continuous process improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering (foreign education equivalent)
