Job summary

Casey’s General Stores Inc. in Omaha, NE currently seeks a Senior Petroleum Service Technician to service, diagnose, and repair fueling and related equipment across Omaha-area Casey’s stores.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call or weekend hours, a company vehicle, plus a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in service technician or related role.
• Certified to work on petroleum equipment, or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months of hire date.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and mechanical trades work.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal & written instruction.
• Must have ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations.
• Work well in high stress environments and maintain professionalism.
• Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Travel with overnight stays may be required up to 20% of the time. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repairs fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, site controllers, credit card readers.
• Diagnose equipment problems, using judgement to determine how to repair or replace tank & line monitoring equipment.
• Repair and maintain other types of equipment found in Casey’s convenience stores.
• Repair and maintain equipment and building electrical wiring, and fuel devices.
• Use instruments to test and evaluate performance of equipment; repair or replace defective valves, electrical boards, and other parts.
• Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations. Work in a safe manner.
• Perform break fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and the fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
• Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectation by ensuring that all assigned duties are completed in a cost-effective manner.

Compensation:

Starting hiring range:$27.80-$36.50. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
