The senior personal service counselor (SPSC) is responsible for assisting members in all assigned phases of savings and lending functions. The SPSC also trains, leads, coaches, and aims to exceed referral and sales goals.

- Process financial transactions accurately and serve as an effective source of information for customers via lobby, drive-thru, or telephone.
- Provide friendly, professional, confidential, and efficient assistance to ensure positive customer experiences and minimize wait times.
- Engage with members to build relationships, identify financial needs, and refer suitable products and services.
- Perform financial transactions, including savings and lending phases, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
- Open and maintain member accounts, deposits, and service accounts, including IRAs.
- Educate members on Credit Union products and services, demonstrating high knowledge and understanding.
- Serve as primary trainer and ongoing mentor for the Personal Service team.
- Manage daily cash drawer balance.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch objectives.
- Underwrite, approve, document loans, and monitor loan performance for compliance.
- Follow up on membership and loan leads, promoting the Credit Union through outbound calls, community outreach, and networking.
- Research and resolve member inquiries and concerns.
- Stay current on products, procedures, policies, and promotions, integrating them into daily activities.
- Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance to protect assets and member privacy.
- Perform title work, insurance updates, lien perfections, and garnishments as needed.
- Provide feedback on branch personnel performance to management.
- Participate in community and onsite events to grow business opportunities.
Required Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- High school diploma
- At least 4 years of related professional experience
- Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and Notary Public Certification (training available after hire)
