Job description

Position Summary:

The Senior Personal Banker builds and maintains strong customer relationships. They provide exceptional service, process customer requests, place customers in appropriate account and loan products, cross-sell other bank services, and refer customers to other departments as appropriate. The primary focus of this role is to be a leader in sales at the accounts desk.

Note:

To ensure employee engagement, retention, and continued top-level service as our branches grow, it is essential to have well-trained employees at all levels. The 6-month position guideline helps set employees up for success. To apply for another position, employees must be in their current role/branch for at least 6 months. Exceptions can be discussed with a Customer Service Officer.

Essential Functions:
  • Deliver high-level customer service and professionalism, embracing the Union Bank culture.
  • Assist customers with account requests.
  • Proactively build customer relationships to identify account and lending needs.
  • Support the branch in achieving management-set goals by leading by example.
  • Stay informed about products, fees, policies, and current offerings for effective suggestions.
  • Research and resolve customer questions and concerns promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and meetings for continuous growth.
  • Originate, manage, and close various consumer loans.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank regulations related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations; complete necessary training.
  • Report compliance issues or violations as per bank policies.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous banking and/or sales experience.
  • Proven ability in cross-selling products, services, and referrals.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Working Environment:

Indoor setting, not exposed to outdoor hazards. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
