Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Irving, TX seeks a Senior Permitting and Regulatory Manager to act as a strategic advisor linking environmental rules, equipment operations, and project success.

You ensure equipment runs efficiently while complying with environmental permits. You will lead data-driven emissions initiatives, collaborate across the organization, and guide teams through federal and state requirements to win customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Create ad-hoc Emissions Solution recommendations at a project level, to lock in immediate business and begin crafting agreements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain data on industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for business growth.
  • Thoroughly understand working-level Federal and State emissions requirements to guide team strategies to secure wins with customers.
  • Manage metrics, dashboards, and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to increase sales.
  • Plan and direct all projects viewed as critical to the department and the enterprise.
  • Gather information and assess the market, including competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs, and the company position in the industry by securing a leadership role within the trade associations, technical bodies, and schools particular to this sector.

Job Summary

The Electric Power Division’s Business Development team is seeking an individual to be a strategic advisor to our customers and internal partners. As a Senior Permitting and Regulatory Manager you are the critical link between environmental rules, equipment operations, and project success. Top Candidates Will Also Have
  • Expert knowledge of the various relevant permits available (e.g. Title V, NSR, PSD, etc.)
  • Core professional credentials/certifications (e.g. PE, CHMM, CEP, QEP, etc.)
  • Ability to model emissions output based on equipment performance, creating emissions calculating methodologies
  • Ability to analyze equipment data sheets to determine operational flexibility under strict permit caps
  • Convert legal code into practical use and incorporate it into standard operating procedure
Additional Information
  • The primary location for this position will be Irving, TX (secondary locations include: Mossville, IL, Alpharetta, GA, or Griffin, GA).
  • Travel up to 10-15% is required.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is offered for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
Summary Pay Range

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
