Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System in Maryland seeks a Specialty Team Leader for the Operating Room to provide ongoing clinical operations support for a designated specialty service. You will collaborate with physicians, perioperative leadership and other clinicians to ensure high-quality patient care and staff mentorship.

The role emphasizes ownership of the specialty, accountability for outcomes, and leadership through charge nurse, preceptor or clinical resource activities within the unit

Qualifications

• MD RN licensure or eligibility (Compact state)
• BSN required
• 1 year PACU/Critical care experience
• Specialty certification required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, provide ongoing clinical operations support for a designated OR specialty service.
• Lead and mentor staff, collaborate with physicians and perioperative leadership.
• Serve as a clinical resource to team members and promote evidence-based practice.
• Ensure adherence to Service Standards, Nursing Mission, Vision and Values
