Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a senior lead and specialist in perioperative inventory to support purchasing and inventory management for the main Operating Room (OR) and the Outpatient Surgical Suite (OSS).

You will develop relationships with vendors and product suppliers and drive opportunities for cost reduction while ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial coding and tracking of expenditures.

Qualifications

• Must have specialty product knowledge.
• Must have extensive product knowledge.
• 10 years prior job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule.
• Heavy manual tasks.
• Basic mathematical calculations.
• Able to communicate, read, write and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace.

Responsibilities

• Provide purchasing and inventory management support to the main Operating Room (OR) and the Outpatient Surgical Suite (OSS).
• Build relationships with vendors and product suppliers and seek opportunities for cost reduction.
• Ensure the quality/accuracy of financial coding and tracking for expenditures.
