Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited perfusion program.
• BCLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• CCP certification from ABCP required 24 months after graduation.
• Senior Perfusionist requires 24 months of adult and 6 months pediatric experience.
• Experience with heart-lung machines, centrifugal pumps, IABP, VAD/ECMO, anticoagulation monitors.
• Advanced knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, including cardiac diseases.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques in perfusion.
• Ability to work flexible hours and lift up to 350 lbs.

Aufgaben

• Provide critical patient care by supporting extracorporeal circulation and/or oxygenation.
• Operate heart-lung machine and extracorporeal circuits.
• Manage blood components, drugs, and fluids as directed.
• Adhere to JCAHO, CDC, and AABB standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with Director and attending cardiac surgeon on routine assignments.
