Qualifications

• Weeks 10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and their use in large-scale systems.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate the performance testing platform for the Search team.
• Build and improve traffic capture/replay and load-generation tooling and data pipelines at scale.
• Apply statistics to predict dev-to-production performance and detect regressions.
• Collaborate with product, search, and information intelligence teams to define infrastructure needs.
• Monitor health and performance of critical infrastructure and participate in on-call rotation.
