Job summary
Kardow is seeking a Senior Performance Tester in Charlotte, NC to validate enterprise application performance and reliability. You will design and execute comprehensive performance tests, analyze results, and drive optimization across CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with JMeter/LoadRunner/Gatling, APM tools, and API performance testing for REST/SOAP, with strong collaboration across engineering and operations to meet benchmarks.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in CS, Eng, IT or equivalent
- Hands-on performance testing experience
- Familiar with REST/SOAP API testing
- Experience with CI/CD and version control
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests
- Analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks
- Utilize tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling
- Monitor system behavior with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana
- Collaborate with dev, QA, infra, and business teams to resolve issues
- Create test plans, scripts, baselines, and reports
- Support API performance testing for REST and SOAP services
- Participate in CI/CD with Jenkins and Git
- Review logs, metrics, and DB performance data
- Contribute to continuous improvement for performance and reliability
- Execute performance testing through SDLC
- Develop scenarios simulating production workloads
- Evaluate system behavior under varying loads
- Document findings and recommendations
- Establish performance benchmarks with stakeholders
- Assist test environment planning and data management
- Support performance validation for GIS and mapping apps
