StoragePerformanceBenchmarking&Analysis

• Owntheend-to-endstoragebenchmarkingprocess,fromtestconfigurationandexecutiontoanalysisandvisualization.
• ConductstoragebenchmarkingusingFIO,ensuringworkloadsaccuratelyreflectreal-worldcustomerenvironments.
• LeverageexperiencewithIOR,VDBench,andElbenchotosupportcustomerPoCsandindustrybenchmarks.
• Analyzeperformancebottlenecksinstorageacrosscompute,networking,andsystemarchitecture—includingNUMAtopology,PCIeconfigurations,andnetworkoversubscription.
• Understandparallelfilesystems(Lustre,GPFS,BeeGFS,etc.),asHyperscaleNASoperatesinasimilarspace,requiringfamiliaritywithdistributedstoragearchitectures.
• ApplyknowledgeofHPCandAI/MLworkloads,understandingtheirstorageandperformancedemands.

AdvancedStorage&NetworkPerformanceEngineering

• Queryandanalyzesystem-levelperformancedata(e.g.,NUMAnodeassignments,PCIelaneallocations,queuedepthoptimizationsforNVMedevices).
• Optimizedeploymentarchitecturesbyunderstandingnetworkoversubscription,losslessnetworking,andstorageperformancescaling.
• Preferredexperiencewithhigh-performancenetworkingtechnologies(RoCE,InfiniBand,NVMe-oF,PFC,ECN,DSCP,VLANs,leaf-spinenetworks)toensureoptimalperformanceinHyperscaleNASenvironments.
• Collaboratewithengineeringtorefinestorageandnetworkingconfigurationsbasedonreal-worldperformancedata
• Developautomationscriptsfordatacollection,performancemonitoring,andvisualization(Python,Grafana,etc.).

• Presenttechnicalfindingsinternallyandexternally,ensuringperformanceinsightsalignwithindustrybestpractices.
• Leadorcontributetoindustrybenchmarks(MLPerfStorage,STAC-M3,SPECStorage,IO500).

Sales&Customer-FacingTechnicalEnablement

• Supportsalesengineersinsystemsizing,ensuringcustomersgetoptimalstorageperformancetailoredtotheirworkloads.
• Assistwithperformancebenchmarkingincustomerenvironments,troubleshootingissuesandprovidingreal-timeoptimizations.
• Presentperformancefindingstobothtechnicalandexecutiveaudiences.

Payrangeandcompensationpackage

Theanticipatedbasesalaryrangeforthisroleis$200,000to$240,000.Actualcompensationwillbedeterminedbyseveralfactorsincluding,butnotlimitedto,levelofprofessional/educationexperience,skills/abilities,internalequity,andbudgetaryconsiderations.Inaddition,Hammerspaceoffersabroadrangeofhealthplansformedical,dental,vision,lifeanddisability.Wealsooffer401kplansandflexibletimeoff.Applicationswillbeaccepteduntilthepositionisfilled
