Qualifications

• Degree in Auditing or in a related field such as Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, and Accounting.
• Additional related and accepted degrees include but are not limited to: Business-related fields, Government-related fields, Technically related fields.
• A combination of education and experience - at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge.
• One of the following: a CPA or CIA certificate obtained through written examination; or completion of degree requirements with substantial auditing or accounting coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours).

Responsibilities

• Specialized Experience includes performing complex audits, developing audit programs, interpreting laws and regulations, planning and analyzing data, preparing written reports with recommendations, presenting findings and leading teams.
• To qualify at the GS-12 level includes performing routine audits, contributing to audit program development, interpreting laws and policies, and collaborating with teammates to achieve goals.
• Time in Grade Requirement: applicants with prior GS service must have 52 weeks at the lower grade.
