Job summary

Experis Austria seeks a Senior Autonomous Vehicle Perception Engineer in Dallas, TX to lead perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, and camera across autonomous platforms.

You will architect real-time C++ pipelines in embedded environments and collaborate with planning, controls, and systems teams to ensure outputs align with the autonomy architecture.

The role requires 4–7 years in autonomous perception, strong C++, ROS/ROS2, and sensor fusion expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/EE/Robotics or related field.
• 4–7 years in perception for AVs/robotics.
• Proficient in C++ (C++11+) for production-grade Linux apps.
• Experience with LiDAR, radar, image processing or sensor fusion and tracking.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and DDS/pub-sub architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, camera, and sensor fusion.
• Architect real-time C++ processing pipelines for object detection, classification, tracking, and sensor fusion in embedded environments.
• Define sensor selection criteria, integration standards, and validation processes for perception systems.
• Drive root cause analysis to resolve perception failures and refine algorithms.
• Collaborate with planning, controls, and systems engineers to align outputs with autonomy architecture.
