Job summary

Wiley's People Insights team uses workforce data to drive decisions for leaders across the organization. As a Senior People Analyst, you will build and maintain dashboards, respond to data requests, and ensure stakeholders have clear insights to inform talent decisions.

You'll work with Crunchr and Workday, applying a consistent metrics glossary, supporting executive deliverables, and exploring AI-powered analytics to speed up analysis. Wiley values impact, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Comfort with Excel and at least one BI or reporting tool.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to double‑check numbers.
• Working knowledge of basic statistics and applying them to workforce data.
• Clear written and verbal communication explaining data to non‑data colleagues.
• Curiosity and willingness to ask clarifying questions.

About the Role:

Wiley's People Insights team turns workforce data into decisions leaders can act on. As a Senior People Analyst, you'll build the reporting and analysis that keeps that engine running: maintaining dashboards, answering data requests from across the People org, and ensuring that stakeholders receive the information and insights they need to make informed decisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Crunchr and Workday for a diverse group of stakeholders
• Respond to ad hoc data requests, scoping what's being asked and delivering clean, accurate answers
• Apply Wiley's People Metrics Glossary consistently so definitions don't drift across projects
• Support executive-facing deliverables by pulling, validating, and formatting data
• Flag data quality issues and help resolve them before they reach a dashboard
• Leverage Wiley's extensive AI resources for people analytics and use them to speed up your own work

Qualifications

Required

• One to three years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role (people or HR analytics experience is a plus, not required)
• Comfort with Excel and at least one BI or reporting tool
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of double-checking your own numbers
• Working knowledge of basic statistics (for example, averages, distributions, and correlation) and how to apply them to workforce data
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining a number to someone who doesn't work with data every day
• Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions when a request is unclear

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday and people analytics platforms, Crunchr preferred
• Familiarity with SQL, R or Python
• Exposure to more advanced statistical methods, such as regression analysis or hypothesis testing
• Experience using Claude or other AI tools for analysis and reporting

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
