Job summary

SAIC in Clifton, TX is seeking a Penetration Tester to join our offensive security practice supporting a major state and local government customer. This role blends hands-on testing with cybersecurity leadership and delivers measurable risk reduction through thorough engagements.

You will perform web, network, and mobile pentests (iOS/Android), contribute to red-teaming, cloud security, and enterprise architecture guidance. Strong reporting and client-facing communication are essential.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and CJIS background check clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years related experience; PhD/JD with 4+ years.
• Proficient with standard web application testing tools; familiar with mobile testing concepts and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Deliver penetration tests across client environments using black box, white box, web app, or mobile methods per NIST.
• Independently manage engagement workloads from scoping through reporting.
• Produce technical reports with findings, risk context, and remediation guidance for technical and executive audiences.
• Support mobile app security assessments (iOS/Android) using OWASP MASVS/MSTG; grow mobile capabilities.
• Strategic planning and management in cybersecurity and digital forensics aligned with the NICE framework.
• Address security issues including architectures, firewalls, data traffic, and network access.
• Present findings to clients from developers to CISOs.
• Share knowledge, contribute to tooling and methodology, and help close skill gaps.
