Job summary

Center for Family Services in Camden, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Senior Peer Services Coordinator to support children, adults, and families. You will apply your recovery experience and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality services, coordinate events, and work with supervisor and staff to advance agency goals.

Responsibilities include outreach, data entry, using Windows and agency systems, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a strong commitment to cultural competence.

• Must have two years of personal recovery.
• Pass drug screen and background checks; valid driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Displays professional demeanor in all interactions with children, adults, and families served, as well as colleagues, and/or community members.
• Provides outstanding customer service in all Agency interactions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, advanced knowledge of English and any other required languages
• Strong intercultural competency awareness and skills required as well as commitment to expanding personal and collective knowledge and sensitivity.
• Shows consistent initiative in all position responsibilities including but not limited to,identifying areas of needed improvement, problem solving, and implementing innovative solutions.
• Exercises effective time management skills including, but not limited to, organizing and prioritizing work in order to meet deadlines.
• Possesses the ability to effectively use technological tools and platforms in order to complete their work functions efficiently. Including, but not limited to, proficiency in: Microsoft Windows and corporate network resources, Required software and systems including, but not limited to, electronic client, record keeping and payroll systems, etc.
• Responsible for planning, implementing and supervising events, activities and servicesthat support the mission of CPRC
• Meets regularly with supervisor and participates in other professional development opportunities.
• Contributes on agency committees and special tasks and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff and communicates in ways that support agency mission and values.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED is required, preferred a Bachelor's Level Degree in Psychology, Addiction Services or related field
• Must have two years of Personal Recovery
• Pass a urine drug screen.
• Pass a CFS basic criminal background check that includes federal, state, local checks and may include fingerprinting.
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least three years.
• Must pass an initial and ongoing motor vehicle record check evaluations.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/her residence.
• Licenses and Certifications Preferred: NCPRSS or CPRS
• The Senior Peer Services Coordinator must possess the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to competently perform activities
• The Senior Peer Services Coordinator must have at least two (2) years' experience in organizational management and social services
• Expected to work nights and weekends to meet the needs of the program.
• Must have strong fund-raising and management experience
