Job summary

The Nemours Foundation seeks a senior Neuroscientist to design, execute, and oversee advanced pediatric neuroscience studies. This role drives scientific innovation, sets research direction, and translates findings into clinical outcomes for Nemours’ pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include leading translational programs, mentoring junior scientists, and seeking external funding to establish a robust neurology research program.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology or related field.
• More than 5 years of relevant research experience including postdoctoral work.
• Demonstrated track record of scientific publications and research impact.
• Previous experience in neuroscience research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex neuroscience research programs from concept to execution, analysis, and publication.
• Develop and implement long-term research strategies aligned with organizational research goals.
• Design advanced experiments to study brain function, neural systems, and neurological disorders.
• Drive innovation by identifying and applying emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies.
• Ensure scientific rigor, reproducibility, and integrity across all research activities.
• Oversee multiple research projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead the development of high-quality manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals.
• Lead grant writing and secure funding through public, private, and industry sources.
• Translate research findings into clinical applications, therapeutic strategies, or product development.
