Qualifications

• Must have either a technical diploma in ultrasound or a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) OR Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Sonography Canada) is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an echo sonographer with 2 years in a pediatric environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic exams and collaborate with cardiology staff for accurate diagnoses of complex congenital and acquired pediatric heart abnormalities.
• Assist and participate in technical echocardiographic training of technologists, Pediatric Fellows, and visitors.
• Carry out daily operational maintenance of Echo Lab supplies and equipment; ensure safe operation and check for deficiencies.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and collaborate with departmental staff and other health care professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Engage in quality assurance and monitor completion of departmental, regulatory, and professional training requirements.
