Job summary

Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks a Senior Engineer for PCS/EMS/BMS integration to advance grid-scale storage platforms. You will drive technical interfaces, validate control sequences, and coordinate with suppliers and commissioning teams to ensure robust, field-ready solutions.

You will contribute to software release management, system operating logic, and documentation while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Power Electronics, or Systems Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in BESS, energy storage, power electronics, or controls integration.
• Strong knowledge of PCS, EMS, BMS, SCADA, and site-level control systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, validation, and release of controls software.
• Familiarity with IEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define integration strategy for PCS, EMS, and BMS across the BESS portfolio.
• Lead hands-on interface definition, signal mapping, and control sequence validation.
• Resolve integration gaps with suppliers, EMS vendors, and system integrators.
• Support plant controls, SCADA, telemetry, and remote command execution at site level.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, test evidence, and software release artifacts.
