Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior ECAD Designer to own PCB schematic capture and layout in Altium Designer, focusing on power electronics and high-speed digital design. You will guide boards from architecture through manufacturability, ensuring ready-for-production designs.

Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, you will drive design reviews, support DFMs, and mentor junior designers while delivering robust, cost-effective solutions in a fast-growing robotics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of PCB schematic capture and layout experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer and high-speed routing.

Responsibilities

• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal and high-speed boards.
• Define stack-up, layer count and material choices to meet electrical/thermal targets.
• Design power delivery networks for DC/DC converters and bus distributions.
• Implement impedance-controlled routing and differential pairs for GHz interfaces.
• Apply DFM/DFA practices with fabrication houses and CM partners.
• Document designs with Gerbers, drill files, BOMs and drawings.
• Mentor junior designers and drive cross-functional design reviews.
