Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer Leader for a leading electronics manufacturer in Seymour, CT. You will work hands-on with production and engineering to resolve PCB/PCBA defects and drive IPC-610/IPC-6003 compliance.

This role emphasizes on-site collaboration, process improvements to enhance solder joint quality and product reliability, and mentorship of manufacturing teams. A Bachelor's degree and strong defect-resolution background are required; a competitive salary

Qualifications

• Strong background in SMT, PCB, and PCBA processes with direct defect resolution experience.
• Deep understanding of PCB chemistry and manufacturing processes, not related to design.
• Experience working on the production floor with manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Proficiency in IPC-610 and IPC-6003 standards and their application in quality control.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve PCB/PCBA defects in real time.
• Lead PCB/PCBA defect resolution ensuring IPC-610 and IPC-6003 compliance.
• Lead efforts to improve solder joint quality and product reliability through process evaluation and improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams and foster continuous improvement.
• Document and communicate defect trends and corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
