Job summary

Optimum Design Associates (Optimum) seeks a Sr. PCB Layout Designer to advance cutting-edge hardware projects.

You will design PCBs meeting strict mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements and work with multidisciplinary teams across diverse industries to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. This remote role offers collaboration with a dedicated team, travel may be required, and a culture focused on technical excellence and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of 12 years of design layout experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Full understanding of PCB Layout techniques meeting mechanical, electrical (RF and Mixed Signal), and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBs meeting mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements.
• Meet on-time delivery by planning resources and communicating progress to customers.
• Apply independence and creativity on complex/schedule-intensive projects.
• Collaborate daily with customer and design team members via web-based tools.
• Identify and resolve project issues as they arise.
• Log hours and activities in the project tracker and review quality objectives.
• Grow business by acting as a customer advocate.
