Blue Origin is seeking an experienced PCB design engineer to craft multi-layer boards for mmWave and microwave RF systems, including FPGAs and microcontrollers. You will ensure impedance control, SI integrity, and manufacturability across HDI platforms for space environments.
Responsibilities include design rule checks, fabrication docs, collaboration with engineers, and board bring-up support, with emphasis on radiation tolerance and thermal management in aerospace contexts.

Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.
As part of the RF User Terminal Design team, you will be responsible for complex PCB designs and layouts with thousands of high-ball-count custom BGA devices with mmWave/RF/mixed-signal interconnects. You will play a key role in conducting PCB stackup feasibility and trace routability studies to inform key User Terminal architectural trades. Your responsibilities also include conducting PCB fabrication house design rule studies, leading the PCB OK2FAB process including DRC checks, design release, fabrication drawing preparation, assembly drawing, and so on.
