Job summary

Hobbsnews is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Automation Engineer based in Sunnyvale, California. This role is focused on designing and developing engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts using advanced design tools.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a strong background in PCB layout, and extensive experience in Cadence Allegro. The salary range for this position is between $135,500 and $275,000 based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Typically 8+ years of experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts.
• Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs.
• Collaborate with management and development partners regarding project progress.
• Lead project teams to develop reliable and cost-effective solutions.
• Represent the electrical hardware team on larger development projects.
