Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a PCB Designer to craft high-reliability PCBs in a fast-paced, team-driven setting. You will guide layouts from schematics, collaborate with engineers, and lead design reviews to ensure robust, manufacturable designs that meet stringent requirements.

You will work on complex layouts, apply ECOs, and produce fabrication documentation while adhering to IPC standards and quality goals. The Pullman, WA location offers competitive pay and top benefits.

Qualifications

• Design and develop PCB layouts from schematics with mentorship.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
• Lead design reviews and implement ECOs on layouts.
• Ensure manufacturability, testability and IPC compliance.
• Create fabrication drawings, BOMs, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts from schematics under mentorship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate schematic intent.
• Lead design reviews and drive design improvements.
• Apply ECOs to PCB layouts and documentation.
• Perform placement, routing, and design rule checks with SI/PI focus.
• Generate Gerbers, drawings, and BOMs for fabrication.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and test; resolve design issues.
• Adhere to PCB design standards and IPC guidelines.
