Job summary

Neros Technologies in Torrance, CA, is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to own layout across product lines, from the compact airside electronics inside our aircraft to the ground control hardware. You will manage layer stackups, RF routing, and your Altium library, ensuring manufacturability and reliability from first draft.

You will collaborate with design and fabrication vendors, implement high-speed, RF, and power sections, and set design standards that meet IPC classes and high-reliability

Qualifications

• 7+ years of dedicated PCB layout and design experience in production hardware.
• Expert proficiency with Altium Designer, including workspace and library management.
• Responsible for CAD library: footprints, symbols, land patterns, naming and revision standards.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB layout from schematic through fabrication release, including outline, stackup, placement, routing and rule closure.
• Read schematics and apply appropriate layout practices to each design.
• Own Altium library and related assets, ensure footprints, symbols, land patterns and revision control.
• Implement high-speed digital, RF, precision analog, and power sections with proper impedance, differential pairs and return paths.
• Design flexible and rigid-flex circuits with bend area construction and coverlay considerations.
• Produce complete fabrication and assembly docs to IPC Class 2/3 with Gerber, NC drill, netlists, BOM, etc.
• Collaborate with fabrication/assembly vendors on stackup, impedance, DFM/DFA, and issue resolution.
• Maintain PCB design standards and coordinate external layout resources during surges.
