Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to lead the development of sophisticated multilayer PCBs for rugged embedded computing platforms used in defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable layouts with focus on SI/PI, manufacturability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience designing complex high-density multilayer PCBs for aerospace/defense or high-performance electronics.
• 2+ years of PCB layout using enterprise tools; Mentor Xpedition preferred.
• Proven ability translating schematics into manufacturable layouts with hardware engineers.
• Strong background in high-speed digital PCBs (DDR4/5, PCIe Gen4/5, Gigabit Ethernet).
• Experience with HDI technologies (blind/buried vias, microvias, via-in-pad).
• Familiarity with IPC standards and high-reliability PCB practices.”

• Develop sophisticated multilayer PCBs for embedded computing platforms in aerospace/defense
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams from architecture through fabrication
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability in layouts
• Create fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation and ECOs
