Job summary

Fresh Consulting is seeking a Sr. PCB Design Engineer to join our hardware team. You will design schematics and multi-layer PCBs (HDI, rigid-flex) using Altium or Cadence, and collaborate with vendors to meet impedance, assembly, and manufacturing requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of PCB design experience, strong IPC/IEEE standards knowledge, and a track record delivering high-quality boards for RF, power, and mixed-signal applications. We offer 100% benefits and career growth.

Title: Sr. PCB Design Engineer
Location: Must live and work in any of these states - Washington, Oregon,California,Arizona, Texas,Utah, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Indiana, Illinois or Colorado.

Role:

• Work with the Hardware Engineering team to provide Schematic and PCB board designs. Layouts range from simple to complex, multi-layer printed circuit boards containing analog, digital, RF, and power components.
• Liaise with PCB vendors to select proper materials, stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements, and resolve any manufacturing related issues.
• Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly packages.
• Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.

Skills:

• 5+ years of PCB Design experience using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.
• Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards.
• Experience in creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in libraries.
• Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlists and proper constraints in the layout design.
• Experience in designing multiple PCB types:
  • HDI Design
  • Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex Design
  • Wire Bonding Design
  • Aluminum Backed Design
• Experience in designing high speed differential circuits, power circuits, analog and RF circuits.
• Experience in PCB layout design constraints for mixed/RF signal, signal impedance control, memory interfaces, power distribution, heat dissipation, and optimization for EMI performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years’ experience of PCB layout design using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.
• Experience with Altium Concord Pro or similar library management systems.
• Proven track record to design & manage all aspects of the printed board design.

Education:

AA degree minimum or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Salary range for this position is $70/hr to $80/hr . Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
