Job summary

Concentra is hiring a Sr. Analyst, Payroll Tax with remote availability to support complex multi-state payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The role emphasizes accuracy, procedures, and proactive problem-solving.

The candidate will interact with tax agencies, assist with W-2s, audits, and system enhancements while maintaining confidential information in accordance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Five years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment.
• FPC or CPP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, including multi-state registrations, filings, and remittances.
• Analyze and reconcile payroll tax data to ensure accuracy for tax filings.
• Assist with W-2 processing.
• Manage tax notices and correspondence from tax agencies; research and resolve issues as appropriate.
• Establish new tax accounts and maintain registrations for multi-state employers.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs and audit support files.
• Support system enhancements, tax automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide resolutions to employee tax inquiries.
• Assist in audits with federal, state, and local tax agencies and auditors.
• Serve as backup for other payroll tax and garnishment specialists.
