Responsibilities include reconciling discrepancies, conducting detailed testing, supporting audits, and coordinating benefits and retirement reporting.

A high school diploma and 5 years of related experience are typically required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate sensitive payroll information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve support issues with limited precedent.
• Ability to recommend improvements to payroll support workflows.
• Knowledge of advanced payroll support practices within complex environments.
• Knowledge of internal controls and approval requirements affecting payroll processing.
• Experience coordinating payroll documentation across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Resolves payroll discrepancies across transactions, time records, and deductions.
• Performs payroll reconciliations and researches differences.
• Processes unusual payroll transactions applying established policies and precedents.
• Reviews control reports to identify recurring errors and issues.
• Researches inquiries involving payroll calculations, deductions, and time reporting.
• Supports payroll audits by tracing processing histories and discrepancies.
• Tests payroll system changes and documents defects.
• Identifies recurring issues and recommends procedural improvements.
• Ensure health and retirement plan elections match deductions.
• Reconcile monthly insurance billing statements and resolve carrier issues.
• Assist with wellness and timekeeping initiatives including leave monitoring.
• Assist with vendor management and benefit communications.
• Assist with 401k contribution reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
