Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Sr Payroll Specialist to lead strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of payroll processes across the United States, EMEA, Canada, and APAC. You will drive analytics, oversee a high-performing team, and strengthen vendor relationships while ensuring audit readiness and compliance.

The role handles approximately 400 payrolls annually, across multiple regions, using ADP, Workday, UKG or equivalents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payroll operations
• Experience with US and international payroll
• Proficiency with ADP WFN, Workday or UKG
• Strong Excel analytics and reporting
• Knowledge of multi-state tax rules and compliance

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end payroll operations across the U.S. and 10+ international countries.
• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of ~400 payrolls per year.
• Oversee global third-party payroll vendors, SLAs, and statutory requirements.
• Lead cross-regional process governance, standardization, and documentation.
• Ensure consistent pay policy application and country-specific compliance.
• Serve as systems expert across payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, UKG or equivalent).
• Develop advanced reporting and analytics for Finance and HR.

TheSr Payroll Specialistleads the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of payroll processes across the United States, EMEA, Canada, and APAC. This role oversees the accurate and compliant processing annuallyworldwide and is responsible for developing a high‑performing team, strengthening vendor relationships, ensuring rigorous audit readiness, and driving analytics that inform business decisions.

• Approximately 250 USA employees, 150 Global employees.
• 95% salaried professionals.
• Majority highly compensated individuals.
• Equity administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct end‑to‑end payroll operations across the U.S. and 10+ international countries, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of ~400 payrolls per year.
• Oversee global third‑party payroll vendors, SLAs, and all statutory requirements across EMEA, Canada, and APAC.
• Lead cross‑regional process governance, standardization, and documentation for global payroll operations.
• Ensure consistent application of pay policies, statutory rules, tax regulations, and country‑specific compliance requirements.
• Serve as a systems expert across payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, UKG or equivalent), overseeing integrations, data accuracy, and workflow optimization.
• Develop advanced reporting and analytics to support Finance and HR, including labor cost analysis, reconciliation reporting, and trend insights.
• Use advanced Excel and analytical tools to diagnose issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and identify global optimization opportunities.
