Job summary

NARA Hotels is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will handle timekeeping, deductions, benefits, bonuses, and commissions while maintaining accurate employee records.

Collaborating with HR and Finance, you will assist with payroll system implementations, year-end reporting, and audits, upholding confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience in high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage-hour regulations, and payroll taxes.
• Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems.
• Excellent Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review payroll data, timekeeping, deductions, benefits, bonuses and commissions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and GL entries.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end reporting (W-2s, etc.).
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and collaborate with HR and Finance.
• Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and testing.
• Monitor changes in payroll legislation and update processes accordingly.
• Support audits with payroll documentation and information requests.
