• Bachelor degree in public or business administration, accounting or finance.
• At least five years of professional payroll management experience, including supervision.
• California driver’s license; insurability.
• Public agency payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the Payroll Department and Benefits Section.
• Direct and coordinate payroll processing for certificated and classified staff.
• Develop and monitor the department budget and processes.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll, deductions, and compliance with laws and policies.
• Coordinate health and other employee benefits programs and open enrollment.
