Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience handling payroll and accounts payable.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll/HRIS and accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, deductions, reconciliations, and accounts payable procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll with accurate deductions and employee payments.
• Review timesheets and payroll information for accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and handle final/termination payments.
• Process wage garnishments, levies, and other court-ordered deductions.
• Research and resolve payroll, benefits, tax withholding, compensation, leaves discrepancies.
• Prepare recurring payroll reports for leadership.
• Process AP transactions, review vendor invoices, and set up vendor records.
• Review and reconcile employee expense reports and corporate credit card statements.
• Audit expenses for compliance with company policies; prepare vendor payments and approvals.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
